According to the new regulation, 22 items were removed from the flavoring list. The updated regulation, within the framework of compliance with the European Union legislation, also regulates food packaging. With the “Regulation on Amendments to the Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Flavorings and Food Ingredients Having Flavoring Features” published in the Official Gazette, flavoring properties 22 ingredients were removed from the list.
