Şişecam expanded its factory in Eskişehir and became the largest glass facility in the world. Significant benefits in terms of more efficient use and productivity are aimed with this investment. The glass packaging furnace, which was fired with an investment of approximately 145 million dollars, is expected to provide additional employment for 127 people. Bottling and jar production is carried out by blasting with an annual capacity of 198 thousand tons.

While the complex was established with 5 furnaces and 24 lines in a single campus, the total glass packaging production capacity reached 760 thousand tons annually. With this investment, Şişecam’s global glass packaging production capacity reached 3.3 million tons annually.

Apart from the opened glass packaging area, the cold repair of the second furnaces of production production cost approximately 29 million units. With the additional capacity thus obtained, the enterprise became the permanent world leader in glassware.
